Question
Is there a nutritional cure for alopecia totalis? My son at 18 years old developed the condition. He is now 24 He has 60% hair loss and loss of both eyebrows. He has little facial hair. He has no celiac disease and no treatable condition through testing. Yet in the past he has had rashes, headaches, IBS, elevated liver enzymes. He is now going gluten-free because it makes him feel better. Will any vitamins and supplements help? I have been told to have him take B-COMPLEX, MSM, ZINC WITH COPPER, FISH OIL. He takes a mult-vitamin and fish oil currently. No topicals have helped. Is his problem acidity? Naturopaths are expensive and not covered by insurance. Since regular medical doctors can't help, should he see a naturopath or is that a waste since there is no cure? What about Ayurveda? Thank you for responding.
Answer
Dear Lori,
There are Registered Naturopath , Ayurvedic doctors present in EU/US. You need to contact them. Secondly Homoepath can also be considered.
Plus there are Association/ Foundations promoting Natural remedies. They too are registered with Government departments. Hence no need to panic.
Find them from Google search engine.
Best of Luck !
