Question
Hi, do you know of a powerful internal remedy to take for cronic arthritus?
Answer
Hi Gene,
Sounds like you have some painful issues here.
There is no one herb used strictly for relieving chronic arthritis. Here are some ideas that will give you relief.
Arthritis
ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS
Boron---3 mg daily. Do not exceed this amount.---A trace mineral required for healthy bones.
Bromelain---As directed on label, 3 times with meals---An enzyme that helps to stimulate the production of prostaglandins. Also helps in the digestion of proteins. This will relive joint pressure.
Glucosamine sulfate---As directed on label. Important in the formation of bones, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and synovial (joint) fluid.
Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5)---500-1,000 mg daily.---Especially for rheumatoid arthritis; vital for the production of steroids in the adrenal gland.
Primrose oil or Salmon oil---As directed on label. Take before meals.---To supply essential fatty acids that increase the productivity of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins.
HERBS
Alfalfa contains all the minerals essential for bone formation.
Cayenne pepper relieves pain. Can be taken in salve or capsule form.
Eat more sulphur-containing foods. Asparagus, eggs, garlic, and onions. Consume foods that contain the amino acid histadine. Rice, wheat and rye. Histadine is good for removing excess metals from the body.
Eat fresh pineapple frequently. Bromelain is found in them.
Eat fiber and reduce fat in your diet.
Avoid nightshade vegetables. Peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, white potatoes. Solanine interferes with enzymes in the muscles.
Get regular moderate exercise.
This will help.
Best wishes,
Dennis
