Question
I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer five years ago. I have made a good recovery and am always on the lookout for different ways of improving my health. I still have a few problems with energy and stress levels. A few friends suggested that I look into reflexology. How can reflexology help me? Do you have any other suggestions?
Answer
Dear Joanne,
I am an absolute believer in reflexology. It is wonderfully soothing as well as invigorating. I can't truly tell you in scientifically acceptable terms, why and how it works, but after years of study and practice, I do know it does. Reflexology is founded on the basic premise, that there is point on everyone's feet that correlates with each part in their body, from internal organs to circulation. I have found that the lymphatic system is best worked through reflexology and that is a wonderful way to circulate toxins out of the body, which I think is one of the main components to battling cancer. I believe it also strengthens the immune system.
My husband had a horrific surgery two years ago and had a horrible reaction to the pain medications that were tried. I used reflexology and he never took anything else for pain. As a naturopath, I do not diagnose nor prescribe, but I strongly suggest that you seek a reflexologist and possibly even an iridologist to assess your health situation. I truly think you will be helped.
I wish you well.
Kind Regards,
KD Liz
