Question
Hi
I am 53. All my life I have had digestive issues which have gotten worse now in my 50's, most notably abdominal bloating in spite of actually eating very little.
I have most of the classic symptoms of celiac disease so I went gluten free after Xmas and a month later am feeling much better I also have A.D.D. which is implicated in celiac disease. In fact all my health issues are related (depending on which website you go to) to celiac, and all of them have improved somewhat.
I had two beers and some food containig flour a couple nights ago and the bloating and indigestion returned so I think I am on the right track.
My doctor tested me and the blood work came back normal. He said this often happens so as long as it is helping stay off the gluten.
I am trying to find vitamins and supplements that might help. One is vitamin K. People with celiac cant process it, and a deficiency symptom is easy bruising. I have always been an easy bruiser as well!
Should I try it? Any thing else you would suggest?
Thanks!
Answer
Hello Terry,
It sounds like you are on the right track.
1. I suggest Probiotics
I like Bifidophilus Flora force to restore the good flora to the gut
2. Enzyme therapy - Proactazyme Plus is a good choice with Proteae Plus
3. Antioxidants - Thai go is a good choice here to help with the inflammatory issues
4. Mucilant fiber with no gluten/wheat. I suggest CLT-X.
You can get these in Canada.
You can go to my site and I can find the 800 number you need to order in Canada.
I would stay gluten free.
