garlic supplements

Question
Hi, I get yeast infections often and researched garlic and it's potential to prevent these infections, so I'm considering taking it on a daily basis. However, I do have slightly low blood pressure and am hypoglycemic at times. Do you know if the garlic will be safe for me to take? Thanks so much.

Answer
Hi Catherine,

Since Garlic is one of my favorites, I would advise using it with caution. The recommended dosage for Candidiasis is 2 capsules 3 times daily. You might start out with a smaller dosage, and closely monitor your BP.

Kyolic garlic also has a vaginal suppository.

Pau d'arco cantains antibacterial and antifungus properties. To make pau d'arco tea, boil 1 quart of distilled water with 2 tablespoons of herb for five minutes. Cool and store it in the refrigerator with the tea leaves in. Strain before drinking, if needed. Drink 3 to 6 cups daily.

Acidophilus - Take as directed on label. - Fights candida infection. Use a nondairy formula.

Eat, vegetables, fish, and gluten-free grains such as brown rice amd millet.

Eat plain yogurt that has live cultures. Take some type of fiber each day. Oat bran is good.

Stay away from sugars.

This should help.

Best wishes,

Dennis
