Question
I have been on medicine for hypothyroidism for going on 10 years. I have been trying to lose my pregnancy weight and it feels like I am fighting a losing battle. I run a mile a day and bike 3 miles. I even do a workout with squats and lunges daily also. I have had no results. I have consulted my doctor and the only thing she will tell me is to count calories. And well I have been doing that for months. I am on a 1600 calorie diet. I am worried that if I restrict myself anymore it will be unhealthy. I am 5'6" and 260lbs, that is just not healthy and I don't know what else to do. Its so discouraging when nothing is working. Do you know of anything else I can do. Herbal supplements or anything! Please help me, I want my body back!
Answer
Hi Lindsay,
Watching calories and exercise is the only way to weight loss. The calories must not be from white flour, white rice etc. I suggest you see a nutritionist for meal planning aimed at weight loss. This is what nutritionists excell at.
Thank you for using Allexperts
