and can herb and vitamin should take together?
Answer
Hello Rosy,
Sorry for the delayed answer. I was out of town visiting my grandparents who are ill.
Your two imbalances, social phobia and memory loss, seem to be primarily caused by stress. And I am sure your imbalances lead to stress, which in return create a cycle of disharmony in the mind and body.
The good news is that there are tons of herbs that can help with this--herbs that are both stress relievers and mood enhancers. Usually when I see a client in my office with these types of imbalances, I can do a thorough analysis as to WHY there is a social phobia trigger, and WHY is there memory loss. Without really knowing your body or the underlying conditions, I can only give general information.
There are specific herbs that I would recommend using Flower Essences of to help with social anxiety.
Those are: Yellow Monkey Flower, Rose, Calendula and Sweet Pea. These flowers help to relieve fear of new things, and help calm the heart spirit.
For memory loss, it would be important to take a supplement called DHEA--Dehydroepiandrosterone. A good brand is from Nordic Naturals. It is also found in fish oils such as cod-liver oil. Other herbs to help the mind are Brahmi (usually found as a topical oil to rub on your forehead), gotu kola, Ginko biloba, anise, blue cohosh, ginseng, and rosemary. Do not use ginseng if you have high blood pressure.
It is safe to take the fish oil and the herbs together. But before beginning any regular use of herbs, please consult a practitioner that can help you get a good dosage for you and to make sure there is no drug-herb interaction.
Peace and Blessings,
Dr. C
