Hi Moon,
Gotu kola actually stimulates the central nervous system. For stress, I would prefer Catnip, Hops, Skullcap, or Passionflower. Valerian keeps the nervous system from being overwhelmed. It is also a powerful sleep aid, and helps aid sleep at bedtime.
These herbs can also be used to reduce social phobia.
A B-vitamin complex of 100 mg daily would also be beneficial.
