Celiac Disease and Male Estrogen Dominance?

Question
Hi Dr.

I am male, 51.

Since puberty I have struggled with what I now know is male estrogen dominance.

I have also had what I though was IBS with the worst symptoms being a big distended but not fat belly and indigestion.

I decided to go gluten free after Xmas and am now feeling much better. The best part is my belly is going down a bit.

My estrogen dominance issues-low sex drive, erectile dysfunction,

male pattern baldness, "man boobs",inability to lose weight, and frequent trips to the urinal are also improving.

I believe there is a connection between the two issues.

This could also explain the rising obesity and male feminization rates? I used to eat a lot of bread, and bread/buns is in every fast food meal.

Your comments as well as any dietary or supplementary medicine suggestions appreciated!

There is not a lot out there from the perspective of traditional medice.

Answer
It sounds like you are on the right track.  I would go see a doctor in your area that deals with "andropause" issues in natural ways.  It sounds like you are aromatizing and have a lower testosterone count than normal.  Controlling your blood sugar with low carbs, good protein, is the best thing you should start with.  You could also increasing your antioxidant and omega-3 fatty acid intake.  Keep up the good work.
